Clinician application technique and whether the area is covered while the cream sets also shape how well it works.
What to expect at appointment
When you arrive, your clinician will review your treatment plan and medical history, including allergies and medications. If an add-on numbing cream is appropriate, the clinician will apply it to the treatment area and may cover it while it takes effect. The cream is removed or wiped away before the main procedure begins and your clinician will confirm your comfort level before proceeding.
